Streets of Lancaster Grand Prix Will Take Pole Position on Lancaster BLVD
The BLVD Market will be closed on September 28, as Lancaster BLVD will be closed from Fig Avenue to Sierra Highway, in preparation for the ninth annual Streets of Lancaster Grand Prix.
The annual Streets of Lancaster Grand Prix will begin Friday, September 29 and finish Sunday, October 1. The event brings professional go-kart racers from across the nation to compete with one another, reaching speeds up to 100 mph – as they zoom through downtown Lancaster. Between professional heats, watch the intense competition as local celebrities and community leaders vie for the coveted title of “BLVD Champ.”
A street party will accompany the racing on Friday and Saturday from 6 – 11 p.m., with: a cruise-in car show; a beer garden; live entertainment; and many more activities lining The BLVD.
The BLVD Market will resume on Thursday, October 5, from 4 – 9 p.m. between Fern and Ehrlich Avenues. For additional information, please contact the Parks, Recreation and Arts Department at (661) 723-6077.
