Iconic Mexican Comedian Luis de Alba to Perform at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center

One of Mexico’s most iconic comedians, Luis de Alba, will perform for the first time at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center on Friday, January 19. This show will be presented in Spanish.

During the time when comedy was king in Mexican cinema, Luis de Alba took audiences by storm and became a household name. He has portrayed a number of characters from a presumptuous son of a millionaire “El Pirrurris,” to clumsy clergyman “Hermano Sol,” and even a comedic interpretation of a Mexican indigenous man -- “El Indio Maclovio.”

In addition to having one of the longest-running careers in entertainment, spanning more than 60 years, Luis de Alba is also an accomplished writer, singer, and radio personality. De Alba’s legacy continues with his most recent work, El Show de Luis de Alba, which has captivated audiences everywhere with stand-up comedy, theatrics, music, poetry, parodies, and crowd interaction.

Come spend an evening filled with laughter with Luis de Alba at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center Friday, January 19 at 8 p.m. Seats are available at $49 and $44. Tickets may be purchased online at www.LPAC.org, by phone at (661) 723-5950, and in person at the LPAC Box Office, 750 W. Lancaster BLVD.  Box Office hours are Noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.
