Administrative Services

Introduction

The Administrative Services Department is responsible for carrying out functions that facilitate the operation of other City departments.

The Administrative Services Department is responsible for oversight of:

• dissemination of information concerning City activities and programs
• administration of the City's risk management program
• financial management and control
• budget development and preparation
• emergency preparedness
• safety and municipal insurance programs
• City franchises
• contract services administration (including Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office and Los Angeles County Animal Control)

and other support functions for the line departments.
