Introduction
The Administrative Services Department is responsible for carrying out functions that facilitate the operation of other City departments.
The Administrative Services Department is responsible for oversight of:
- dissemination of information concerning City activities and programs
- administration of the City's risk management program
- financial management and control
- budget development and preparation
- emergency preparedness
- safety and municipal insurance programs
- City franchises
- contract services administration (including Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office and Los Angeles County Animal Control)
and other support functions for the line departments.
