We want to hear your input, concerns and feedback!

The City of Lancaster invites all interested persons to take part in a community workshop on Monday, September 24th to discuss the long-term revitalization of the area around the Lancaster Metrolink Station. Utilizing a grant from the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), the City of Lancaster has retained a team of consultants led by Sargent Town Planning to help determine ways to:

  • STVPA Planning AreaRethink the Metrolink station as a pedestrian-oriented, multi-modal, transit facility
  • Establish better pedestrian, bicycle, and bus connections to the Metrolink Station
  • Introduce development on the STVPA that provides transit-convenient housing and commercial development that complements Downtown, provides new jobs, and takes into account the existing industrial uses that are already there
  • Accommodate the California High Speed Rail alignment when and if it passes through Downtown and the STVPA

During this public workshop, the consultant team will present preliminary suggestions for the future of the STVPA, and the City invites you to share your ideas.  The public workshop will be held Monday, September 24, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Lancaster City Hall in the EOC Room (located at 44933 Fern Avenue).  Refreshments will be provided.

For more information regarding the workshop, please call Elma Watson, City of Lancaster Planning Department, at (661) 723-6100.
