A Night Out Swing Dancing

Looking for an excuse to get out and dance? The Lancaster Museum/Art Gallery offers “A Night Out - Swing Dancing” this Saturday, March 6, 2010 beginning at 6 pm with swing dance lessons from Mark Tang. The event will feature live music from swing band Bathtub Gin, delicious food from Fresco II, and wine from Leona Valley winery. Dance the night away or chat with friends amongst the artwork of talented High Desert artists showcased in the “25th Annual Juried All Media Art Exhibition.” General admission to the event is $8, LMAG Associates members $6. Please RSVP to 661-723-6250. Tickets will be sold at the door the night of the event.

This final Saturday of the “25th Annual Juried All Media Art Exhibition” features artworks that reflect the diverse range of local talent selected by juror Dr. Michael Zakian, Director of the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art at Pepperdine University. Bringing together established and emerging artists working in traditional as well as new media, the exhibition reflects and celebrates the unique aesthetic of the High Desert. Stroll through the museum’s gallery to explore the variety and creativity of our local art community before the exhibition closes March 7th.

“A Night Out” events at the Lancaster Museum/Art Gallery offer visitors an opportunity to enjoy an evening together with friends while exploring the museum after hours. The experience is enhanced by live music, food and drinks, bringing together a unique artistic evening.
