Introduction
The Administrative Services Department is responsible for carrying out functions which facilitate the operation of other City departments.
The Administrative Services Department is responsible for oversight of:
- Dissemination of information concerning City activities and programs
- Administration of the City's risk management program
- Financial management and control
- Budget development and preparation
- Emergency preparedness
- Safety and municipal insurance programs
- City franchises
- Contract services administration (including Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office and Los Angeles County Animal Control)
- Other support functions for the line departments
