After the formal Aerospace Walk of Honor presentation at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center, the community is invited to attend a free street fair along Lancaster Boulevard from 5:30 to 9:30 pm. Here you'll find a farmer's market with the freshest crop of fall produce, a cornucopia of your favorite foods and topnotch music and entertainment including Mobility of the Air Force Band of the Golden West and the popular Cherry Poppin' Daddies, a swing revival band out of Oregon, that the whole family will enjoy.
The group Cherry Poppin' Daddies who rose to fame in the late nineties with their multi-platinum hit album, Zoot Suit Riot, have performed throughout the U.S. and will sandwich their appearance at the Downtown Celebration between appearances in the Chicago area and Clearwater, Florida.
Lead singer Steve Perry, trumpet player Dana Heitman, bassist dan Schmid, guitarist Jason Moss, sax player Sean Flannery, drummer Tim Donahue and keyboard player Dustin Lanker combine the lively spirit and sounds of the Swing Era with their own contemporary twists.
