The City of Lancaster, in conjunction with the Los Angeles County Public Library in Lancaster, recently announced the second in an ongoing series of quarterly book selections, as part of the new Lancaster Reads! Program.
“This program is designed to promote reading and literacy as well as cultivate a sense of community through the shared experience of reading and conversing together,” said
Mayor R. Rex Parris.
The book selected to be read this quarter was Damage Control, a novel by Denise Hamilton. A special presentation by the author will be held at 6 p.m. at the Lancaster Library. A discussion forum will be held afterwards at the Leaf Room on the BLVD (next to Graphic Experience) at 7 p.m. The community will have the opportunity to listen to the author speaks about her experiences as well as discuss the book with their peers afterwards.
