The City has a new Online Permit Portal that allows citizens and contractors to apply for specific permits online.

In an effort to provide 24 hour access to our customers, and to make your interactions with the City more efficient, we are providing electronic access to the permitting services we provide. You will be able to track online the status of your project, pay a fee, upload information, download documents, and schedule inspections.

Registering for an Account

To register an account and begin the permit process, you can access the new Citizen Access Portal from either of two sources: www.cityoflancasterca.org (click on “Residents” or "Business", and then “Apply for a Permit”) or you can access the Permit Portal directly from here: https://aca-prod.accela.com/LANCASTER/Default.asp

Once you have created an account, please let staff know the specific email address you used to create your account, and they will provide you online access to your permit application and/or project.

Please review the instructions on how to register and apply for a permit online here.

For help on how to use our Online Permit Portal, please review the Accela User Training Guide.
