The City of Lancaster Transportation Division is responsible for maintaining City-owned traffic control devices, providing a safe, reliable fleet, and administering environmentally friendly recycling options to the residents.

The Transportation Division keeps the City compliant with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. In addition, the Transportation Division is responsible for the oversight of the solid waste hauling franchise agreement.


Our Environmental Services team helps to run programs that address residents' solid waste collection, recycling and sustainable needs.	Our Traffic Operations teams ensures the City's street lights, signal equipment, fiber optic cables and other traffic equipment work efficiently.	Our Fleet Management Division offers cost-effective support and maintenance for all of Lancaster's vehicles.
