Community Engagement

Community Engagement is a part of the Community Services Division in the Parks, Arts, Recreation and Community Services (PARCS) Department.

Through outreach and collaboration, this division works to build, establish, and maintain strong partnerships with those we serve through proactive engagement. Our work is deeply rooted in cultivating a sense of belonging, inclusion, and empowerment for all residents by addressing the diverse needs of our vibrant community.

We are catalysts for positive change, working hand in hand with community members and organizations to identify pressing issues and develop innovative solutions. Whether it's through neighborhood gatherings at our Community Homes, Lancaster Connect, or citywide outreach programming, the Community Engagement sub-division is committed to supporting our community.

Thanksgiving Turkey Drive

The holiday season is here and the City of Lancaster wants to partner with you! Every year the City of Lancaster kicks off the thanksgiving season with a city wide turkey distribution. This year's event will be hosted at the Lancaster Community Center, November 16th at 10am. Plan on arriving early as this event will go on as supplies last. Last year we served over 7,500 families and we look forward to seeing you there!
