Formerly known as El Dorado Park, Samaritan’s Purse Park honors the impactful work of the Samaritan’s Purse organization in Lancaster. 

The renaming of the park will come with a renovation plan to enhance its facilities and overall appeal. As part of these efforts, extensive community outreach was conducted to enable residents to contribute their input regarding the new park name and to prioritize improvements based on feedback. 

This spirited park is adjacent to El Dorado Elementary School and features a number of amenities including a preschool room, tennis court, softball field, playground, picnic tables and restrooms. El Dorado was one of three county parks that were provided to the City when it incorporated in 1977.
