City of Lancaster's Emergency Preparedness for Residents
With more than 170,000 residents in the City of Lancaster, the City takes the responsibility of protecting our residents and ensure that every individual and family would be ready to respond to and recover from a natural or man-made emergency or disaster. Some of the disasters that Lancaster is prone to include earthquakes, fires, flash floods, snow storms, droughts, electrical outages, high winds and more. Because of the many threats that Lancaster faces, it is important that the City and residents are prepared for such disasters. However, preparing for these disasters need to be done in advance. In efforts to ensure all Lancaster residents are prepared for emergency, the City has provided steps to help you prepare your own emergency kit.
