Crime Stoppers
Have you seen suspicious activity or witnessed a crime? Report it! Whether it's someone breaking into a house or a vehicle that doesn't belong in your neighborhood slowly driving up and down the block, the Sheriff's Department needs to know to help catch the criminals and stop crime before it starts.
The City provides an easy way to report crime and suspicious activity, which can be done anonymously if desired. If the information you provide leads to arrest and conviction, you may even be eligible for a reward!
NOTE: If you are witnessing a crime-in-progress, DO NOT use the tip line; instead, call the Sheriff's Station at (661) 948-8466 (call 911 if there is an immediate threat to anyone's life or safety) to report it. You can ask to remain anonymous and your request will be respected.

Crime Stoppers is a national network of tip lines for reporting all types of crimes, from assault and child molestation to insurance fraud and utility theft. Crime Stoppers works with law enforcement and the media to track down and prosecute criminals across the United States, via tips submitted by telephone, text message, and through their website.
The Crime Stoppers system is completely anonymous; all calls are encrypted and none are recorded, and text message and web tips are similarly encrypted. Rewards up to $1,000 are sometimes available for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of criminals. A code number is used for tracking and claiming purposes, as well as for tipsters to provide updated information on tips they previously submitted.
In addition, Crime Stoppers actively seeks information regarding specific cases from the public, by posting details about specific crimes on the website. Many of these highlighted cases have rewards from other entities attached to them as well for successful tips.
