The signup period has now closed. The grant recipients will be randomly selected through a lottery system and contacted directly via email or phone. If you applied, please make sure to check your email and voicemails on a daily basis, as selected recipients will be required to follow up promptly. 

The City of Lancaster Emergency Rental Assistance Grant Program will provide a temporary rent subsidy for eligible residential tenants in the City of Lancaster who have been/are unable to pay rent due to circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The subsidy will provide a grant of up to $5,000, to cover the monthly lease rent (based on the rent paid as of March 1, 2020), per household. The rent subsidy will be paid directly to the tenant’s landlord on the tenant’s behalf. This program will be available to tenants of rental housing, including apartment complexes, townhomes, mobile homes, or single family residences, who meet the certain eligibility criteria.
