A Milestone in Public Safety: Lancaster Police Department Celebrates Opening of New Headquarters

Lancaster, CA. September 23, 2024 – The City of Lancaster is excited to mark the beginning of a new chapter in public safety as we introduce the new headquarters for the Lancaster Police Department. This new facility is part of our continued efforts to evolve and meet the growing needs of our community.

“This new headquarters represents our unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of every resident in Lancaster,” said Mayor R. Rex Parris. “It stands as a beacon of security and a promise that we are investing in the future of our City. This facility is not just a building; it's a forward-thinking investment in our community that embodies our dedication to leading the nation in innovative public safety strategies. By enhancing our capabilities and resources, we ensure Lancaster remains a place where safety and community flourish together.”

Located at 44811 Sierra Highway, the Lancaster Police Station will serve as a central hub for advancing public safety initiatives in the community.

“This new station will be a cornerstone of our mission to community-led policing,” said Chief of Police, Rodrick Armalin. “It will become a center for collaboration between us and the people of Lancaster, ensuring that safety is built through trust, transparency, and active community involvement. With state-of-the-art facilities, we are better equipped to serve the public and engage with residents more effectively than ever before. This headquarters isn’t just a place for officers; it's a community space where residents are welcome to join us in forging a safe, inclusive future.”

We are excited to welcome our residents to celebrate this momentous step toward the future of our City’s public safety with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community open house on Saturday, September 28 at 9 a.m. The event will feature:

  • Guided tours of the new police headquarters, providing a behind-the-scenes look at the facility designed to serve and protect our community
  • Complimentary refreshments and snacks for all attendees
  • Police department giveaways and informational booths
  • Opportunities to interact with officers, ask questions, and learn about community safety initiatives
