Downtown Lancaster has seen substantial growth in the past decade.  Since 2010, Downtown Lancaster, especially the BLVD, has seen a very dramatic transformation through a complete streetscape redesign. The redesign consisted of new streets, updated lighting, modern street furniture, safer traffic patterns, and environmentally friendly landscaping. 

 

The BLVD has also attracted substantial investment from national brands like with Regency Theaters and Starbucks. Besides coffee and a movie, there are many other entertainment options on The Blvd. such as enjoying a show at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center or having a party and playing games at the Underground Bowl.

Downtown Lancaster is not only and entertainment destination but it also offers a wide range of professional services, including accounting, attorneys, banking, insurance, and more.

 To accommodate the growing development, the City of Lancaster partnered with InSite Development and Midas Hospitality to launch the opening of The Marriot Residents Inn. This 78,500 square-foot hotel is located directly on The BLVD.
