SEE AND BE SEEN
Active Transportation Safety and Healthy Living Program
Thanks to a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS), the City of Lancaster’s national award-winning SEE AND BE SEEN bike/PED (pedestrian) safety signal cabinet wrap campaign has been advanced into a K-12 active transportation safety and healthy living education program.
The objective of the SEE AND BE SEEN program is to improve bike/PED crash statistics in Lancaster by educating school-age children in active transportation safety to instigate generational behavior change.
The program includes:
- RE-Cycle Bike Donation Program: If you have a bike to donate, call Resurrection Cycles at 661-992-6107.
- Bike Repair Clinics (Students K-12): To request a clinic at your next event, email seeandbeseen@cityoflancasterca.org or call 661-723-5851.
- Tour de Luke Charity Bike Ride: Thanks for riding with us in 2024! Save the date for 2025: Saturday, October 4th, 2025.
- S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) and Physical Education distance learning-friendly curriculum
